Day 1: Nairobi – Mount Kenya – 4 hrs drive

Depart from Kenya’s safari capital city, Nairobi and drive North to Aberdare National Park or Mt. Kenya National Park. Lunch time we will be at a tree hotel at 7,000 feet. The tree hotel offers high altitude game viewing, including animals that are rarely encountered elsewhere: giant forest hog, bush pig, tree hyrax, large spotted genet, and the elusive bongo. Wildlife can be observed from the balcony or inside your rooms where you can see, hear and smell the nature at its best. You can put in a request to be awakened during the night if your favorite animals show up. A herd of Elephants might be just feet away and if you are lucky, a Leopard or Lion might put in an appearance. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Mount Kenya – Olpejeta – 1 hr drive

After breakfast we will drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy and Rhino Reserve also known as Sweetwaters Game Reserve. It is situated on the equator, between the foot hills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snow-capped Mount Kenya. You will arrive in time for lunch.Later we embark on an afternoon game-drive. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy has variety of animals, including the Big Five (the endangered black and white rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion), Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, cheetah and chimpanzee. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Tented Camp.
